Viewing a Server’s Binding-Break Status

Important:A server’s binding break status is displayed only if the configuration option Limit Binding Break Repairs for License Server is selected (see Configuring Embedded Devices Settings).

The Binding Break section on the View Server page enables you to track how many times a license server’s trusted storage has been reset to repair broken binding. You can also click the Reset button to restart the count and allow further binding-break repairs.

The Binding Break section shows the following:

Repairs Done—The number of binding-break repairs since the count was last reset.
Maximum Number of Repairs Allowed—The number of times the local license server is allowed to repair a binding break. The local license server will cease to serve licenses if the number of binding break repairs (field Repairs Done) reaches the maximum number of allowed repairs, and no further repairs are allowed.
Reset Binding Break Repair Count—Click the Reset button to restart the count of binding-break repairs. After the count has been reset, the local license server can serve licenses again.
