Creating, Editing, or Deleting an Account

To be associated with an entitlement, a company must be entered as an account in FlexNet Operations.

If you are assigned a role with the View and Manage Accounts permission, you can add, edit, or delete accounts and sub-accounts.

After you have created an account, you can create sub-accounts for it. It is recommended that the total number of associated sub-accounts for any given account does not exceed 1000.

You can edit an account or sub-account to change its name; to add, edit, or delete users; or to delete its sub-accounts.

Important:Do not enter a colon ( : ) character in the Account Name field.

To delete an account or sub-account from FlexNet Operations, use the Delete Account or the Delete Subtree button on the Manage Accounts page:

Delete Account—removes the selected accounts. If the account has sub-accounts, those sub-accounts no longer have a parent account. The sub-accounts are retained but become top-level accounts. (For example, any sub-accounts of a deleted customer account become customer accounts.) Any sub-accounts that were also parents of sub-accounts retain the hierarchy of sub-accounts beneath them.
Delete Subtree—removes the selected account and all of the sub-accounts in its hierarchy.
