External SOAP Service Technology: Setting Up and Deploying the License Technology
In this exercise, you set up and deploy the SOAPTech license technology, an uncounted license technology.
To set up the external SOAP service license technology

1.

Log in to the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal if you have not already done so. The Producer Portal Home page appears. |

2.

Click Administer > License Technologies. The License Technologies page appears. |
|
3.
|
Click Add a License Technology. The Create A License Technology page appears. |
|
4.
|
Under Create A License Technology, enter the license technology information. |
|

|
Description: Type External SOAP Service technology |
|
•
|
State: Note that this license technology is created in a Draft state. |
|
•
|
Type?: Select External SOAP Service |
|
•
|
Generator Service End Point: Type this path:
{CUSTOM_TECH_HOST}/flexnet-licgen/services/LicenseGeneratorService |
|
•
|
Authentication type for service: Select None |
|
5.

Scroll down the page and click Add File Definition. The Create File Definition window opens. |
|
6.
|
In the Create File Definition window, enter the file definition information. |
|

|
Name: Type SOAP_FILE_Definition |
|
•
|
File Type: Select TEXT. |
|
•
|
Description: Type Custom generator interface technology file definition |
|
7.
|
Click OK. The window closes and the file definition is added to the Create A License Technology page. |

8.
|
Click Save to save the new license technology. |
|
9.
|
Click  to test the connection. Click OK in the message that says you have successfully connected to the service. |
To deploy the external SOAP service license technology
|
1.
|
Click Administer > License Technologies. The License Technologies page appears and lists SOAPTech in the Draft state. |
|
2.
|
Select the SOAPTech check box, then click Change State ▼ and select Deploy from the drop-down menu. Click OK in the verification message that appears. In the License Technologies table, SOAPTech is shown with a State of Deployed. This message appears: Deployed the following License Technologies successfully SOAPTech |
