Creating a Publisher Identity

Note:This topic describes how you create a publisher identity in the Producer Portal. If you already created a publisher identity using FlexNet Embedded’s Publisher Identity utility (pubidutil) and want to upload the back-office identity file, follow the instructions in Uploading an Externally-Created Identity.

You can add identities from the Administer menu in the Producer Portal.

To create a publisher identity

1. Click Administer > Identities. The Producer Portal opens the List Identities page.
2. On the List Identities page, click Create Identity. The Producer Portal opens the Create Identity page.
3. In Publisher Name, enter the name of the publisher that you created previously (see Creating a Publisher).
4. In Identity Name, enter the name for the new identity that you are creating.
5. In Notes, optionally enter a description of the publisher identity.
6. In Signature Algorithm, select an algorithm and signature strength combination that will be used to generate digital signatures.
7. Click Save.
