What is an Upsell?

A product is upsold when a customer replaces the product with another product that provides a superset of the original’s functionality, such as moving from the MyProgram Standard Edition to the MyProgram Professional Edition. The figure below depicts an upsell of Product A version 1.0 to Product B version 1.0.

To enable an upsell in the Producer Portal, both “editions” of the product must have been added, and a relationship between them (such as Upsell To or Upsell From) must be defined on the Relate to Different Products page.
