Importing a Configuration
The configuration import utility uses the JAR file created by the configuration export utility to restore all FlexNet configuration settings. A user must be assigned a role with the View and Manage Configurations permission to import configuration settings.
Note:Before importing configuration settings into a working FlexNet Operations instance, export the working configuration settings (without writing over the JAR file you plan to import). If there is a problem with the imported settings, you have a backup of working settings to restore.
To import configuration settings through the FlexNet Operations Producer Portal
| 1. | Click System > Configure. |
| 2. | Click Import to open the Import page. |
| 3. | Under Import A Configuration .JAR File, click Choose file and select the JAR file that contains the configuration settings to restore. |
| 4. | Click Import. |
The Producer Portal imports the settings contained in the imported file.
