Events Options for a Scheduled Report

Event-based scheduling gives you additional control over when a report runs. Reporter offers the following options for event-based scheduling: Wait for and Trigger:

Wait for ensures that the job waits for a condition before executing.

•

Trigger immediately executes the job when the specified event occurs.

The only event that is available in this implementation is Daily Data Refresh, which occurs each day between 00:00 and 5:00 A.M. Pacific Time (equivalent to 8:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. UTC).

To specify an event for a scheduled report

1.

Schedule the report as described in Scheduling a Report, Step 1 through Step 7.

In Step 8, under Events, select Wait For or Trigger.

In the Select Events dialog, use the Wait For drop down to select the event that triggers the publication, or the Trigger drop down to select the event to trigger when the publication job has run.

Also in the Select Events dialog, select UAT Daily Data Refresh and click Add.

Continue to schedule the report.
