Components for Conditional Notifications

Conditional notifications are built from the following types of components:

Metrics—Aggregated data that can form the basis of a conditional notification. Using a metric for a conditional notification is optional.

Triggers—Events that initiate execution of a conditional notification.

•

Conditions—Filters that can allow or prevent actions from happening.

•

Send Actions—Actions that send results to a user or process.

•

Data Action: Submit Data—Actions that access or update data.

For example, you can create a simple conditional notification so that whenever an entitlement is updated in FlexNet Operations (trigger), you are sent a conditional notification email (action), but only if the entitlement is for a specific customer (condition).
