Configuring a Conditional Notification

Configuring a notification involves defining the triggers that initiate the notification and actions that send results to a user or process.

To configure a conditional notification

1. Perform the steps in Creating a Conditional Notification.
2. On the Design tab, specify the trigger that initiates the notification. Start by dragging one of the triggers from the Triggers section on the right side onto the Trigger - New Data of Dataset <dataset_name> area.

The type of trigger suitable for a condition depends on the condition type:

• Use the Scheduling trigger for notifications based on aggregate (metric) values.
• Use the New Data and Update Data triggers for notifications based on field values.

Tip:Point to each trigger option to display a tooltip with information about each trigger.

3. After adding the trigger, drag and drop a condition or an action under the new trigger area.
4. Configure the Triggers and Conditions dragged onto the conditional notification canvas.
5. Continue with the steps in Activating a Conditional Notification.

All changes are saved automatically as you build your conditional notification.
