Creating a Conditional Notification

The initial step involves naming your conditional notification and specifying basic parameters, such as metric (if using one), dataset and trigger type.

To create a conditional notification

1.

Click Analytics > Conditional Notifications.

The Conditional Notifications page opens.

Click New Notification.

In the Create Conditional Notification dialog, define the broad parameters for your notification:

Enter a Name for the notification (maximum number of characters: 100).

Tip:You might want to indicate in the notification name whether the notification is based on a metric. This enables you in the conditional notifications overview to differentiate between the different notification types.

Select the Dataset on which the notification should be based.

•

Select the Notification type.

•

Select Aggregate (Metric) value if you want the notification to be based on aggregated data.

•

Select Field (Column) value if the notification is based on the comparison of a raw value in a dataset field.

Click Continue.

If you selected Aggregate (Metric) value in step 3, continue with the task described in section Building a Metric, under Metrics. If you are not using a metric, continue with the task in section Configuring a Conditional Notification.
