Download and Licensing Instructions Home

NOTE: For instructions on accessing the Revenera Product and License Center, see Accessing the Revenera Product and License Center.

From the Download and License Center, you will be able to:

Downloading FlexNet Operations

To download FlexNet Operations:

  1. Log in to the Revenera Community, and click FlexNet Operations on the Community home page.

    NOTE: If you do not have an account in the Flexera Community, see Accessing the Revenera Product and License Center for instructions.

  2. On the FlexNet Operations page, click Downloads (PLC). The Product and License Center page of the Community opens.
  3. Click the Let's Go button under the list containing FlexNet Operations. The Product and License Center opens.
  4. In the left navigation, under Entitlements, click Product List. The Product List page shows all of the product lines to which your account is entitled.

    NOTE: If you do not have access to multiple products, clicking the Product List link opens the Product Information page directly.

  5. If the Product List page shows multiple products, click the FlexNet Operations link where the Product Information page will open.
  6. On the Product Information page, the New Versions tab is shown by default.
    • The New Versions tab will show the latest version if you are current on maintenance.
    • The Release Archive tab will show all of the earlier versions of the product.
  7. To download FlexNet Operations, click on the product name in the table on the Product Information page to go to the Product Download page.
  8. On the Product Download page, click the download button next to the file you want to download.

Obtaining New FlexNet Operations Licenses

To obtain new FlexNet Operations licenses:

  1. Log in to the Revenera Community, and click FlexNet Operations on the Community home page.

    NOTE: If you do not have an account in the Flexera Community, see Accessing the Revenera Product and License Center for instructions.

  2. On the FlexNet Operations page, click Downloads (PLC). The Product and License Center page of the Community opens.
  3. Click the Let's Go button under the list containing FlexNet Operations. The Product and License Center opens.
  4. In the left navigation, under Entitlements, click Entitlement History. The Entitlement History page shows all your entitlements.
  5. Click the View License link next to an entitlement Serial Number/Order Number. The License Information page opens.
  6. On the License Information page, follow these steps:
    1. Check Select All in the checkbox above the Generate button.
    2. Click Generate. This will take you the Generate Licenses page.
    3. On the Generate Licenses page, for each licensable item displayed, enter the fully qualified host name (such as host123.flexerasoftware.com) for the machine on which you will deploy FlexNet Operations.
      • If you are generating only one license, enter only one host name for each licensable item.
      • Enter multiple host names if you are deploying multiple hosts.
    4. Click Generate at the bottom of the page to generate licenses. This will open the View License By Host page.
    5. On the View License By Host page, click Download License Keys to obtain a file containing a license for a given host.

Viewing an Existing License File

To view an existing license file:

  1. Log in to the Revenera Community, and click FlexNet Operations on the Community home page.

    NOTE: If you do not have an account in the Flexera Community, see Accessing the Revenera Product and License Center for instructions.

  2. On the FlexNet Operations page, click Downloads (PLC). The Product and License Center page of the Community opens.
  3. Click the Let's Go button under the list containing FlexNet Operations. The Product and License Center opens.
  4. In the left navigation, under Entitlements, click Entitlement History. The Entitlement History page shows all your entitlements.
  5. Click the View License link next to an entitlement Serial Number/Order Number.
  6. On the License Information page, find the appropriate license in the list by using the check box on the right side of the list
  7. Click the View button.

Returning a License

Returning a license credits the available quantity of licenses.

NOTE: There is a limit to the number of times that you can return a license: you can return a license only one time per entitlement per year.

To return a license:

  1. Log in to the Revenera Community, and click FlexNet Operations on the Community home page.

    NOTE: If you do not have an account in the Flexera Community, see Accessing the Revenera Product and License Center for instructions.

  2. On the FlexNet Operations page, click Downloads (PLC). The Product and License Center page of the Community opens.
  3. Click the Let's Go button under the list containing FlexNet Operations. The Product and License Center opens.
  4. In the left navigation, under Entitlements, click Entitlement History. The Entitlement History page shows all your entitlements.
  5. Click the View License link next to an entitlement Serial Number/Order Number.
  6. On the License Information page, click the Return button for the license in the list that you want to return
