Performing a New Advanced Search for Inventory Parts Without Saving the Search

You can set up a new advanced search for SBOM parts as needed without saving it for future use.

To define and perform an advanced search for SBOM parts without saving it:

1.

Access the Advanced SBOM Parts Search window, using the instructions in Accessing the “Advanced SBOM Parts Search” Window.

From the Advanced SBOM Parts Search window, do one of the following:

Define the criteria for your search from scratch. See Criteria Fields for an Advanced SBOM Parts Search for a description of each field.

Select a previously saved search from the Select a Saved Search dropdown list as a basis for the new search. The criteria for the selected search populates the fields, enabling you update this information as needed for the new search.

Click Search to perform the search.

The Manage SBOM Parts page is automatically refreshed to show the search results based on the specified criteria. However, your search is not saved for future use. (If you chose an existing search on which to base the new search in step 2, the original search is maintained but any changes you made to it are not.)
