Analyzing Usage and Entitlement Data
FlexNet Operations’ embedded Analytics functionality leverages data from the data warehouse to deliver a 360-degree view of your customers. The Analytics functionality, available on the Analytics menu, is split into two areas:
Feature |
Description |
Data Visualizations
|
Help you translate usage and entitlement data into actionable insights. Using subscriptions, share insights from dashboards and reports within your organization and even end-users. These features are found under Analytics > Reports. |
Conditional Notifications
|
Provide you with an automated framework to act on the data. These features are found under Analytics > Conditional Notifications. |
Usage and entitlement data offer insights crucial for prediction, customer success and retention, and identifying upsell opportunities. You can view data visualizations to gain insight into customer trends and then perform actions relating to those insights using conditional notifications.
The following diagram illustrates how visualizations and conditional notifications complement each other:
Data Visualizations | Conditional Notifications
Gain clear visibility into a customer's renewal position based on actual usage By analyzing usage data, you can identify customers whose entitlements are about to expire in a custom time frame, which in turn enables you to increase retention. | Drive outreach activities For example, an account manager could get notified when entitlements for a specific account are about to expire within a certain time frame.
Understand your customer's use patterns over time in enterprise applications Usage data unveils upsell opportunities by indicating when customers might be ready for an upgrade based on their consistent usage of certain features. | Facilitate upsell activities Get notified when custom thresholds are met to aid in upsell and to identify potential overage billing situations.
Gain insight into whether customers are fully utilizing the products they acquire By monitoring usage trends, you can anticipate potential churn by identifying drops in usage or unutilized features. This enables you to take preventive actions to retain customers. | Initiate a customer success discussion Use conditional notifications to enable stakeholders to initiate a customer success discussion, which in turn enhances customer satisfaction and helps drive revenue. |
